:: Tiny corrections diverge energetic trajectories greatly ::

"There is no use, I will fail" - TryThink McNeverStart
"I will fail, and benefit" - TugBoat McOnePull.
I argue that incremental gains down a track can be easily misconstrued as failure in that none of them individually cause a crossing of the finish line. Each enormous investment of effort would seem to serve little if one had poor scope of their own progress. The cool thing about failing properly though is that you're making gains towards the goal.
"I don't know what try means" - Mr Authentic
"If you're not grinding, you're not gaining. To try is to succeed through self advancement." - Mrs. Max
What is grinding towards a goal if not incremental gains made with a knowledge of the finish line? Needn't then there be finish lines even in practice? Who gets to decide what these are? :: Nothing, Yes, You.
1) A boat has little say over the ocean, yet can arrive safely at its destination.
To build is to destroy, to hone is to lose. Self destruction feeding refinement is fed in turn.
Sharpening the blade lessens the metal. All things cost; even if simply the energy to reach them.
2) Effortlessness is bred from effort.
We are not 'of the stone.' We are entities more trained for adaptation than stone. Humans are a wishbone, stone loses itself upon failure. We etch ourselves in stone, and stone becomes us.
3) Stone is born again of us.
"Checking In: To have high aspirations and a fear of high places simultaneously is a cruel punishment. Optimistically, well.. I got to sit back and watch with abject criticism. Took my ball and went home.
Checking Out: ... wuh?" - Some angry guy in a hat.
If you fear what you may become, you may become what you fear... so fear what you are.
4) Guide things you fear.
Treat potential with respect as well stagnicity, while you have right to waive your respect, you have far less right not to offer it. This is because respect is on a per-person basis, and cannot as safely be assigned to groups and remain sound judgement.
5) Respect until you can't, can until you shouldn't.
If every unit of the body is exerting effort additively to accomplish a single task, the minor motions are nuanced by their nature. A slight change of footing may support enough more weight to save your life, the way your toes each angle, each productive. This can be achieved pre-disaster by practicing. With accomplishing a task repetitively, exploring different routes to the goal becomes enticing, and new, efficient methods can then be found. What separates this new method from the older tried and true method? From a stationary observer..
6) Nuance is bred from repetitive refinement
